Two visitors from Japan on a trip hosted by the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers. Our guests were Sou Kawahara, Chief for Americas Agriculture in the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and Shinji Hattori, Dean of Faculty of Economics at Toyo University. FYI, that is Toyo and not Tokyo for those wondering. For Downey Ranch, that is me (Barb), husband Joe Carpenter, former Herdsman Mike Hall (now of VA) on horseback (not on Joe's back as it might appear!) and our daughters Anna and Laura Cate.
